From the South

M1 or M5 - Join M6

M6 - Leave at Exit 21a (M60 East, sign-posted Manchester)

M62 - Follow signs for M60 Leeds (Do not go straight on M602 to Manchester)

M62 - Leave at Exit 13 sign-posted Leigh/Swinton

The Novotel is on your right as you join the slip road.

On leaving the exit road, turn right at the roundabout. Follow signs for Swinton, (Novotel entrance on right). There is then a further roundabout. Take the first exit, sign-posted A572 Swinton. Follow this road for approximately 3 miles, until a major set of traffic lights at the A580 Manchester-Liverpool dual carriageway (East Lancashire Road). Proceed through these traffic lights, past a Petrol Station. There is then a signpost St Ambrose Barlow RC High School on your left-hand side. Follow the sign, turning left into Shaftsbury Road.

The school is situated on the right-hand side of the road, approximately two thirds of the way up the road.

From the East

M62 Leave at Exit 15 (A666)

Turn left at the end of the slip road. This is A666 Bolton Road. Keeping on this road until you approach a cross-roads with traffic lights. Turn right into Station Road. Keep going until you reach a further cross-roads at the second set of traffic lights. Proceed across this junction, turning left at Stanwell Road, directly after the Police Station. Turn right into Shaftesbury Road (approximately 200 yards past the Police Station). The school is situated on the left-hand side.

From the North

M6 Heading South

M61 to Manchester.

Come off M61 at the A580 Manchester sign.

This brings you to A580 Manchester-Liverpool dual carriageway (East Lancashire Road). Go the second set of traffic lights and turn left into Worsley Road (A572). After passing a Petrol Station on the left hand side of this road, you will find the school sign-posted. Turn left directly after the Petrol Station into Shaftesbury Road.

The school is situated on the right-hand side of the road, approximately two thirds of the way up the road.
